As usual, in each issue of the newspaper we will present a method of preparing coffee. This time we will focus on the Aeropress. This preparation method is appreciated because it is reliable, very easy to use and produces an aromatic coffee. For best results, carefully follow the ingredients required and steps e numbers below. You need:
- AEROPRESS
- WEIGHING
- THERMOMETER
- grinder
- Timers
- KETTLE
- MIXING PALETTE
The optimal coffee grind for the Aeropress is cornmeal-like in texture. Once you have the necessary things at hand, the preparation of coffee is carried out in the following way:
In heat the water. Bring the water to a boil, then let it cool for a minute. The temperature we want is 90-95 degrees Celsius.
Grind the coffee. A portion of aeropress coffee means 15 grams of roasted coffee for alternative methods.
Prepare the Aeropress. Remove the piston from the cylinder and set it aside. Unscrew the filter holder, insert a paper filter, then screw it back. Place the cylinder on top of the coffee cup with the paper filter down. Gently pour in a small amount of water, just enough to wet the filter and heat the cylinder.
Add the coffee. After the cylinder has heated up, empty the water from the cup and place the cylinder in the same position again. Dose the ground coffee in the Aeropress – 15 g of coffee to 200 ml of water.
Add the water. Before pouring the water into the aeropress, start the timer. Pour in 30ml of water, stir a bit with the paddle, then wait 30 seconds before adding the rest of the water.
Coffee extraction. After you have poured all the water into the cylinder, wait another 30 seconds and fit the cylinder into the piston. Press the cylinder down until it stops. The pressing force must be constant, so that the extraction does not take more than 40 seconds.
