You know the coffee you start your day with? If not, now is your chance: Academia Del Caffe is back! 

Academia Del Caffe is like a journey where you learn everything specialty coffee means: from the bean to the cup.

In this complete module you will learn:
  • the effect of coffee processing on the final taste of a cup of coffee (how the processing of coffee cherries influences the flavors of the finished product and the tasting of different types of processing);
  • coffee roasting and how it can influence the final flavors in the cup of coffee (3 different coffee roasting methods along with analyzing coffee roasting flaws and roasting profiles highlighting the taste characteristics of the coffee bean);
  • methods of preparing coffee using household equipment (inexpensive methods of preparing coffee at home, keeping the focus on the basic principles of coffee preparation and the versatility of these methods);
  • focusing on two very important aspects: taste and smell (tests that give real and objective feedback related to your qualities as a coffee taster).
You will learn about its provenance, origins, what are the differences between origins, about coffee processing methods, what are the major differences between arabica (specialty coffee) and robusta (commercial coffee), about the roasting process. You will also "get to know" the coffee bean and dissect it together with our colleagues.

Duration: 3 hours

Saturday (according to the schedule), between 10:00-13:00, at Olivo Coffee Culture in The Office in Cluj-Napoca.
