Academia Del Caffe is like a journey where you learn everything about specialty coffee, from the bean to the cup.
The first module of this course series focuses on the effect of coffee processing on the final taste of a cup of coffee.
In this module, you will learn:
- How the processing of coffee cherries influences the flavors of the finished product
- How to analyze the structure of the coffee cherry and green beans processed in four different ways
- You will participate in a small tasting of the analyzed coffees
You will also learn about coffee provenance and origins, the differences between origins, coffee processing methods, the major differences between arabica (specialty coffee) and robusta (commercial coffee), and the roasting process. You'll "get to know" the coffee bean by dissecting it together with our colleagues.
