Academia Del Caffe is like a journey where you learn everything specialty coffee means: from the bean to the cup.
The second module in this course series focuses on coffee roasting and how it can affect the final flavors in the cup of coffee.
In this first module, you will learn:
- 3 different coffee roasting methods
- analysis of coffee roasting defects
- roasting profiles that highlight the taste characteristics of the coffee bean
You will learn about its provenance, origins, what are the differences between origins, about coffee processing methods, what are the major differences between arabica (specialty coffee) and robusta (commercial coffee), about the roasting process. You will also "get to know" the coffee bean and dissect it together with our colleagues.
